F8: Output to Cutter/Plotter
On Printer/Gerber
Ensure it says “Online”
Media is loaded on the spindle, correctly aligned with the holes
Foils you will need have been prepared
Gerber will ask for each foil color in succession
insert in the top slot each color it asks for (similar to an old school cassette tape)
“Short foil” > OK (sensor is reading the foil as low, may run out soon)
“Substituting foil” > OK (sensor is reading the wrong foil, ensure you have the right one but sometimes the chip in the cassette is incorrect)
as the foil lowers you may have to grab and push it into the winder, if you are unsuccessful the cassette will raise and you can try again
After each color prints, Gerber will wind the roll back to origin. remove and insert next color foil
CUTTING ON PLOTTER
set up the sheet in the plotter, lining up the holes and clamping the 2 black rollers down along the holes
Use the eye piece to line up the Quickplot target, that is the origin point for the cut
F8: to send cut lines to cutter
pause and check the cut depth to ensure it cuts through the material and not too deep into the liner
